Intro Blog
Hello to the lovely people reading this blog, my name is Melissa Meme and I am 16 years old. I currently attend Fort Lauderdale High School and I am in the 11th grade. My parents came from Haiti and immigrated to Florida in the late '90s. I was born in Miami, Florida making me Haitian American. I speak fluent English and some Haitian Creole. Growing up in a Caribbean household I sometimes enjoy spending time outside with my family. One of my favorite Haitian dishes is Legume (Vegetable Stew), Sous pwa (puree bean sauce), with white rice. My favorite colors are purple and turquoise. Mainly, during the weekends I enjoy riding my bike at a park by the beach. One thing about me is that I am a shy, and kind type of person. I am the oldest of three kids. I sometimes wish that I was the only child because my brother and sister can be very annoying. Though being the only child may be fun, I still love my siblings and they make my life at home enjoyable. I love being with my family because when I am down they are the people who are there for me and who I can talk to. One thing about me is that I like watching old movies and listening to old music. Out of my many favorite movies, I like: "The Sound Of Music" and my favorite show at the moment is "The 100". In quarantine, I started watching Korean and Chinese dramas and was introduced to anime. I rarely travel and only traveled between Orlando and Miami. As a result, in the future, I would like to travel outside of the state and country. I like to learn more about other cultures and countries because I want to know more than the everyday stereotypes that I am exposed to. In my free time, I would talk with my best friend, spend time with family, read my bible, or just binge-watch a show. I like helping others and that's why I want to go into the medical field. As a career, I want to work as a pediatrician or family doctor but it might change since there are many other careers. This is the end of this blog.
So long farewell it's time to say goodbye!!!
