Dasani Water Bottle Commercial

With this commercial assignment, we were to work on this individually, so I learned to edit things on my own. With this commercial, I have learned how to put transitions between clips. Compared to our last assignment, this commercial help put my knowledge to the test. I had to make sure that I filmed using different shots, camera angles, and consider the important mise en scene of a water bottle commercial. I also had to put in the common conventions in my video. One common convention was that water bottle commercials always show the logo of the product. In every scene, I had the Dasani logo appear. I learned a lot more in the editing process. When editing, I learned how to insert transitions and how to compress or shorten a video without cutting the video short. I also used audio effects like silencing the sound and bringing the volume of a specific video up. When dumping the footage into my computer, I would have to save each video to my Google drive, wait for it to download, and then save the footage in my drive onto my computer. Later on, I learned an easier way that would help me in the future. Any photos or videos I took would automatically save to my Google photos. I made sure all my footage was on Google photos, and then I would open the app on my laptop and download them from there. Through this assignment, I found sites where I could download free background music. When downloading the music, I also had to give credit to the source. I do think that I could have opened up the video differently, but I did not want the commercial to be longer than it was supposed to be. Also, I wanted to add more transitions, but the editing app I used wouldn't allow me to. Though I wanted to do some things differently, I am still satisfied with how it came out.
