Introduction to the Music Video Project

Hello lovely people and welcome to a new set of blogs. In the last class on Tuesday, November 10th, we were given our next filming project which is a music video. For this project, we were given the choice to pick a partner or to work individually. I decide to work with my best friend, Kendia. I choose her as a partner because we worked on a previous AICE media project and it would help to have a partner. Though she is my best friend, we both can rely on each other to stay focus and organized on an assignment. In choosing a partner we had to make sure we would be able to collaborate in our to do the project. Kendia and I lived close to each other so it would have not been difficult to work on the project. I also chose her as a partner because I felt like this assignment would be fun to do with her and since we both take the class we could do it together. In choosing our song we had to take some time to think. When thinking of a song, it felt hard to think of a good one at the top of our head. We also had to think about how would we tell a story through the music video. I was listening to a song the previous day and told her that it would be great to do that one. We choose to do "The Lazy Song" sung by Bruno Mars. She agreed right away so we started planning. I thought of this song because I could relate to the lyrics. We felt like sometimes we tend to procrastinate, feel lazy, or tired. There are times we have piles of school work but we tend to be distracted by other things. We would also feel tired from doing everyday tasks or our chores. I felt like the song describes how we felt about virtual school during a pandemic. I also liked the song because I grew up listening to it many times. This is the end of this blog. I hope that you guys stay tuned for our next blogs that will document the process of us working on our music video.
